Policy
This policy describes the currently available Android version of Disp: Disposable Camera. It explains the device permissions the app uses and the information handled by its advertising and consent services.
Effective date
October 20, 2026.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Disp Camera app currently distributed for Android. Disp has no account or login feature, subscription or payment feature, or Disp-operated cloud media upload. We will update this page if the app’s features or data practices change.
Camera, microphone, and media access
Disp requests camera access to show the live viewfinder and capture photos or videos. The selected film look and supported photo or video effects are processed on your device. Disp requests microphone access when you record a video with sound. Captures are held in temporary app storage while you review them. When you choose Save, Disp requests the media-library access needed to save the finished photo or video to your device’s library. You can review or change permissions in Android settings. Camera access is required to capture; microphone access is needed for recorded sound.
Information and advertising
Disp does not ask you to create an account and does not provide subscriptions or in-app payments. Disp does not upload your photos, videos, or recorded audio to Disp servers. Google Mobile Ads can provide a banner in Gallery and an interstitial after every five successful saves. Google’s advertising SDK may process information such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, diagnostics, and performance data to serve, measure, and protect ads. The app stores the successful-save counter locally.
Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) refreshes consent information at app launch, presents configured messages when required, and stores consent state on your device. It communicates with Google to retrieve messages and update consent status. Ads are requested only when UMP reports that requests are allowed. When UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, Disp exposes it in Gallery. Google’s handling of information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and its ad technology terms.
Third-party services
Disp uses Expo Camera and Video, Android media frameworks, Google Mobile Ads, and Google UMP. These services support camera and microphone access, on-device photo and video processing, playback, saving, advertising, and consent. Advertising services are provided by Google, not by a Disp-operated ad server. See Google’s policies for information about its processing.
Retention, deletion, and security
Media you save is stored in the photo library you control; delete it there using your device’s gallery app. Captures and developed files are kept in app cache while you review them, and Android may clear that cache. You can discard a capture with Retake. The successful-save counter and UMP consent state are stored locally. Disp has no account or server-side media copy to delete. For data handled by Google’s advertising services, see Google’s ad privacy controls and Privacy Policy. Revoking camera, microphone, or media access in Android settings stops the related access but does not remove media already saved. Keep your device and backups secure; anyone with access to your device or photo library may be able to view saved media.
Children’s privacy
Disp does not ask users for their age, account details, or contact information. Google advertising services may process the technical and advertising information described above. The app’s target-audience and child-directed advertising settings should be reviewed in Google Play Console and AdMob. A parent or guardian with a privacy concern can contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as Disp changes or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
